Philippians

I think I was in junior high when the focus of Grace Church's Mexico Mission trip was the book of Philippians. Whenever it was though, this portion of God's Word left a big impact on me. Philippians in my old Bible is full of notes, underlines, and highlights because its just so darn good. Several years later, I still read Philippians nearly everyday. And every time, I am encouraged and challenged. If you haven't read it recently, you should. Its short, but so rich.

My favorite verse:
Philippians 4:4-7
"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Amen.
