Israel Update 1

After a week of delay, we've made it to Israel! I can't believe we are finally here. Anna Wilson and I are sharing a tiny, cute room with a great view. The sunset each night has been bright red and the view is mountains. Our first day we went to the Old City of Jerusalem. Its about a twenty minute drive from where we are staying: Moshav Yad Hashmonah. We went in through Jaffa Gate and climbed up the Citadel. From there we could see the Mount of Olives, the Dome of the Rock, the Temple Mount, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, and more. Bill Schlegel gave a wonderful tour. We met Shaban and exchanged money after walking through narrow streets filled with scarves and trinkets. We learned a lot about the city and have so much more to learn. I feel like every step we take takes us into a new historical event. Today was class all day and tonight will be a long night of homework.
Behind us the Temple Mount, Dome of the Rock, and the Mount of Olives.
The architecture is sweet.
The people and their dress are different too.
So pretty!

So we learned a lot more, but I have to work now!
